Step 1: Wash, How-to Use HotLap

How to Use HotLap

The heavy lifting happens before you touch the paint.

HotLap was built to deliver cleaning power closer to what you’d expect from a "touchless" wash chemical, while being safer to use and more versatile for regular use across the exterior.

The goal was to make a cleaner strong enough to break down road film, bugs, brake dust, oils, tire grime, and heavier contamination before you physically touch the vehicle, while still being controlled and surface-safe when used correctly.

*Breaking down these materials does not mean removing them *

Safe chemistry means removing most of the dirt and grime, but likely leaving behind a thin fine layer of film that is mechanically bonded to the paint. Traditional touchless systems often have to push chemistry harder and harder to chase the removal of this film, while reducing safety margin. But even with harmful ingredients this is not achieved perfectly, so we don't chase that.

DriveLab takes a different approach.

HotLap does the heavy chemical cleaning first on wheels and paint, then OneWiper finishes the job using rinseless principles to safely remove what remains while drying, leveling, adding gloss, and leaving protection behind.

That combination is what allows the system to be both powerful and practical.

HotLap removes grit before contact. OneWiper safely handles the rest.

In the standard DriveLab wash, HotLap is Step 1.
