Why and How Our Formulas Are Different
I want to be really transparent about how and why we made the formulas we have now and the philosophy behind our products. We're not trying to act like nobody has ever made good car care products before.
There are a lot of good brands and a lot of good products. The problem is that most people do not know where to start, which products actually matter, or how to put everything together without getting buried in research, conflicting advice, and way too many steps.
Touchless washing and rinseless washing have both become popular because they are trying to solve real problems.
Touchless is appealing because people want to avoid dragging dirt across their paint. Rinseless is appealing because people want to wash faster, use less equipment, and skip the full driveway setup.
Both ideas make sense. They just have severe limitations. Touchless fails to truly work without risks. If you push a product hard enough to remove every type of dirt, film, road grime, and buildup without any contact, you start narrowing the safety margin. Heat, sensitive trim, strong dilution, long dwell time, and normal user error all start to matter more.
We want chemistry to do as much work as it reasonably can before contact, but we do not want to pretend contact never matters. We want the process to be faster and simpler, but not at the expense of safety or real cleaning power.
So the formulation philosophy is pretty simple: remove as much contamination as possible before touching the paint, make the contact step more controlled and forgiving, build protection into the process, and reduce the number of decisions the customer has to make.
We benchmark against the best products we can find, then try to beat them where it matters most for real customers: cleaning power, ease of use, versatility, finish quality, and how well everything works together. And instead of producing more products that nobody asked for, we will continue to improve on versions of what we already have in order to push the boundaries of modern car care.
