Frequently Answered Questions
You absolutely should, and these towels hold up cycle after cycle. We personally haven't seen proper use wear them down at all. The only reason we would stop using them (for our paint) is if we drop them on sandy/rocky ground or if they get soiled with anything other than normal paint grime and film, like heavy oil/grease or gravel, or ceramic resin from a coating job. If you do drop them in dirt or use them for other shop components, we recommend demoting the towels to 'shop use' and general purpose other than paint. Keep your paint towels exclusive to paint. Microfibers pick up and trap a lot of debris when you drop them, or gunk them up with other compounds. Inspect after each wash for any leftovers or attached debris to reconfirm them for paint use!
Normal washer and dryer should do the trick. Cycle on warm water (not hot, preferably), and low heat drying. If they are heavily soiled, soak them in a dilution of cleaner like HotLap (.5 oz in a gallon of water) to remove grease and oil or resin and wax build up, then add to a wash cycle as stated above with regular detergent. Pro tip: Never let these touch anything but your car's paint. Use a separate basket to deposit your dirty paint towels into (separate from any other clothes or towels) and wash them in their own cycle. This will keep them untainted from debris (which microfibers capture easily) so they are always safe on your fresh paint.
This is a relevant factor with towels, yet hardly tells the whole story. Towels are rated based on their mass measured in 'Grams per Square Meter' or 'GSM'. This means their mass if they were cut to a square meter (instead of 16in x 16in in our case). Although the thickness of the towel is rarely accounted for, and plays a major role in density (mass per volume), so not all 390-420GSM towels, for instance, feel or perform the same. A fluffier towel that's thicker with the same GSM is going to feel entirely different. Towel thickness, material and quality of material, and stitch design or style plays a major role in how the towel behaves and performs. This is why these towels outperform any other towels at the same GSM level for cleaning and buffing.
Our perfect towels are more than ideal for drying your car. In fact, because of their material, design, and size, they offer a more controlled and safer way to dry your paint, along with OneWiper, over the leading oversized drying towels that tend to be hard to see dirt on and can scratch your paint for this reason.
Used DriveLab for the FIRST time today on my PPF’d Raptor R - absolutely love it - started with HotLap 10:1 followed by OneWiper (half in the sun) and it not only came out great, but I was done in under 30 mins!!!! Couldn’t believe it!
Completed my first wash and very happy with the result. All the products and tools are high quality and make the washing process quicker and easier. Found the new glass towels work very well also.

Hey Tony, thank you for bringing this to our attention. This should not be happening, with this product especially. Please email us with some info and photos so we can dig into this with you. Curious if there was any abrasion involved like a brush or scrub pad, or if it was dye transfer as opposed to paint etc. We really appreciate anything more you are willing to share.
Good quality towels, haven’t noticed serious swirls.
I used it with the 2 step spray and it worked way better than anticipated. Highly recommend and the directions on how to wash are in the bag, very helpful.

Awesome Tacoma! thank you Roland!
The towels are the perfect mix of all the best characteristics of microfiber towels, easy to work with, clean, and even the color is good for knowing when to flip sides of the towel. Only complaints is I find 5 is just barely enough when using the drivlabs method on larger SUVs.
This "inside job" worked very well. The one thing I learned when using it was a little goes a long way !! I was pleased with the scent and ease of use. Very little slickness and some UV protection to boot. Here's my video link so you can see my full review of the product! Buy this along with his exterior cleaning kit with full confidence ! Happy New Year!

Thanks for the review Rob! Just got a chance to watch the video. Loved that intro! 😆 And appreciate the feedback and kind words.
I love the scent of this interior detailer. It goes on easy and doesn't leave any slippery or greasy residue. I can literally spray, wipe, and drive off. I highly recommend you try this stuff.
For the cost and the marketing focus on simplicity, i was not overly impressed with the quality of the product. Lots of streaks and left over residual brake dust. Follow directions, watched tutorials, and was still left with a 60 min process.
Store owner replied:
Hey Terry. Sorry this didn't hit the mark for you the first time. The streaks are from the resins in Step 2. They need to be leveled properly. Once you have done the cleaning pass with it, you then use back and forth motions to buff/level the product to get it right. With a little spray on the towel to assist with any dried areas. It's a slight slow down to the process, but that's what provides extra paint protection so it's a trade off we decided to keep on board. With the remaining brake dust, it can take a couple passes on wheels with heavier or older buildup. The first wash is almost always the longest since you’re learning the process and often dealing with accumulated contamination. Once you’ve got that initial wash behind you, the process should get considerably faster and the results more consistent. If you run into anything specific on the next wash, reach out and we’re happy to help.
Happy for a product to use on my car’s interior surfaces. Seems to work well and is easy to use. Love the bottle and that the cleaner/conditioner has no fragrance. Hoping it goes to work on the seat where some food got stuck in the ‘pores’.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hands down the best towels I’ve used on my paint. The fibers are crazy soft and dense. They glided across the clear coat without leaving a single swirl or scratch. Highly recommend these if you care about keeping your paint flawless!
Just when I thought I was getting a detailed clean, this kit proved me so, so wrong. The detail brush was getting cracks and crevices I never even considered and the InsideJob left a streak-free, non-greasy clean.
Efficient and excellent results. I love that the product is designed to use in the sun because it’s hard to find a cover to wash your vehicle sometimes. I will definitely be recommending this product to others.
