HOW IT ALL WORKS
We wanted washing to be faster so we figured out a way to skip the buckets and wash mitts, for the closest you can get to a "touchless" wash system. Here's how it goes:
STEP 1: WASH
Just rinse then foam your paint with our soap, HotLap, and our foam cannon. Scrub the wheels and tires if they're caked. Then pressure wash. It's the closest thing to touchless that is scientifically possible. All because of how it reduces any dirt and grime to dust and works in harmony with Step 2.
STEP 2: DRY
Next, preferably blow dry some of the water off (or not), then spray down the car with our hybrid spray coating, OneWiper. Since towel drying is always necessary anyways, especially when you have hard water, we combined the contact wash with the drying phase. As you wipe down with OneWiper and our premium towels, it cleans and clears hard water stains and dissolve minerals and leftover film while it coats your paint, for safe contact and maximum gloss and shine that makes your paint easier to clean the next time around.
STEP 3: DRESS
Last, coat your tires with our tire and trim coat, NewShoes. It makes them look new again, dries in seconds, and it doesn't fling on your paint, so you're ready to go. Plus it lasts multiple washes so you don't have to re-apply every time, saving you even more time in the future!
WHY THIS IS BETTER
Instead of selling people a pre-rinse, a wheel cleaner, a redundant degreaser, a diluted APC, a foaming soap, a detail spray, a streaky spray sealant, and a greasy tire dressing... we made our 3 formulas to not only replace, but improve on all of these.
Then there was the goal to make it all work faster. To do this we needed to consider what slows you down: Hand washing, hard water stains, fussy residues from over developed products, and weak formulas that can't do the job because they are cheaply made. So we formulated these in harmony, with cutting edge chemistry. So they not only work better, but work in real world conditions, like in direct sunlight in your driveway with water from your garden hose.

Don't OWN A Pressure Washer? READ THIS
For the fastest results you would need a pressure washer to use the Foam Cannon included in the kit. If you do not have a pressure washer, just do not buy the Foam Cannon. Our formulas and wheel brush kit will still improve your wash game in every way! You just have to get the soap on the paint yourself, with a foam sprayer (hand pump) or with a traditional bucket and mitt.
But, if you're ready to significantly enhance your wash process and save even more time, we highly recommend investing in our Foam Cannon and a budget pressure washer. Please check these pressure washer options here:

Written INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Wash:
1. Prep a foam cannon with a 10:1 dilution of Hotlap to water (10 parts water, to 1 part HotLap) by using a measuring cup, or just filling the foam cannon to almost full with just water (900ml or so) and then add ⅕ of a bottle of HotLap to that. Then make sure the dilution dial on your foam cannon is all the way to the right (+) to max out the concnetration of your prediluted solution. Also, check out our dilution guide on the HotLap product page for more options.
2. Wet out the car by rinsing with hose or pressure washer first.
3. Then apply soap foam with cannon, hose sprayer, or even bucket and mitt.
4. Let sit for 1-2 minutes, possibly while you scrub the wheels and tires with Brush Kit, if you are not in direct sunlight.
IMPORTANT: Don’t let the soap dry on paint, not a disaster but not ideal. If it does start to dry before you are done with wheels, just mist it with pressure washer or water and carry on. If it is hot out, consider waiting to foam your paint until after you tackle the wheels. Also, garden hoses don't have the pressure to remove soiled soap that is drying (soap and dirt mixed on paint hardening), so don't let the soap sit if you are using a hose.
5. For super heavily soiled cars, respray foam and do a contact wash for extra precaution. Pro Tip: we recommend using a towel and fold it every time you change panels, rather than a wash mit and bucket.
6. Pressure wash all the soap from the car thoroughly and immediately move to Dry.
Step 2: Dry:
1. Dry the car with a blow dryer, or air dry, don’t dry with a a big towel, here’s why: If you contact washed the car, big towels are fine (overall this would add 5-10 minutes to wash time) but if you didn’t, then you will be dragging dirt all over your car and scratching it. The entire point of our advanced formulas is that you can safely dry and wipe the car down with OneWiper, but there’s a smart way to do it:
2. Apply OneWiper to a drying or still wet panel of the car and to the towel, then wipe dry in one direction only (downwards). Periodically check the towels (after each major area or wipe) to gauge if there is any dirt on the surface.
3. If you see dirt on the towel, simply change sides and repeat step 2 until car is clean.
4. Apply more OneWiper and clean towel to shine the car out. This can happen all in one if the car isn’t too dirty, results vary depending on weather conditions, soil level, and technique. The more experience you have, and the more you use these products, the faster and easier washing becomes!
5. Cleaning your windows: you don't need a window cleaner when you have HotLap. Just dilute in a 16oz spray bottle with water (a small splash of hotlap in water will do), filter water is ideal. Spray on and clean off the glass, then wipe the glass down with a perfectly clean towel after. Clean new towels make glass perfectly clear.
Step 3: Dress:
1. Make sure tires are DRY first.
2. Apply NewShoes to a towel or applicator, spray away from car to avoid mess on paint (don’t use our paint towels, they’re too nice for this and you don’t need anything special. We recommend having a dedicated tire towel or pad, nothing special)
3. Wipe tire thoroughly. Wipe off any over wipe on wheels (no harm, just want to be clean, we actually like applying this to matte wheels too!)
4. Stand back and admire!
Pro Tip: let the car sit and small amount of water will drip from various crevices. Once these dry, come back with a new towel and some OneWiper to clear out those pesky drip spot stains and finish the car perfectly. Next: Drive!

HOW AND WHY
WE MADE THIS KIT:
FAQs
Rinseless washes are the king of simplicity, especially for economy cars that don't need the royal treatment. Although they do require a lot of elbow grease, and they can only wash. They are basically very mild soaps with lubricants that in theory don't stain your paint if they dry on them (although in reality and testing, they do). They don't give you a fully detailed look without a wheel cleaner and a tire shine... So at the end of the day you still need 3 formulas... Our Step 2 acts as a rinseless wash so that's covered in the kit. Using our kit with a hose or pressure washer with proper technique is not only safer on your paint then a spray and wipe or bucket of rinseless, but it's more versatile and complete. The crazy part is, you can use our Step 2 to do a quick 10 minute spray and wipe when your car isn't very dirty (we recommend a hose down first to eliminate particulates). Or use the entire kit to take your time and get your car looking absolutely perfect.
Our goal was to get as close to having a touchless wash soap as possible, and this is as close as it gets. Our pressure washing soap is made to remove as much dirt and grime as possible in one formula. With that being said, a perfect touchless soap is still a myth for now, since you can't remove every type of film with one stable chemical mixture. But we have completely solved this problem with our STEP 2 FORMULA and process! (Watch our How It Works video)
We highly recommend pressure washing and using a foam cannon because it speeds up the process. Watch our tutorials to see our process. But this soap will work great for bucket washing and will still eliminate the need for other formulas for washing. You can also try a spray cannon for a regular garden hose (this is not a foam cannon, and we currently do not sell one). They don't foam well, and they use up soap much faster, but they still get the job done with HotLap.
The ideal pressure washer is one that has higher GPM (gallons per minute) flow. this means it pushes more water. And generally you want to stay below 1500 or so PSI (which most budget pressure washers won't even reach even if they say they do tbh). Active Pressure Washers are a great brand to check out for washing cars.
Full transparency, we've had similar results with testing lower GPM units and varying pressure. The difference is marginal. Most theories around detailing are just theories and hardly regard the actual outcomes, which is a clean car.
We usually recommend car drying blowers (leaf blowers), especially over car drying towels. Although, blow drying isn't necessary, it just saves some time. And using our Step 2 formula in conjunction with a good towel is absolutely necessary regardless of whether you are using a giant drying towel or a blower. Otherwise your paint won't look as shiny as possible. We highly recommend smaller, more controlled drying towels over big giant towels, since those are hard to monitor for dirt and build up that can scratch your paint. Check out our Perfect Towels for all of your detailing needs.
Nothing in this wash and detail kit will harm your paint. Although we never recommend letting soap dry on your paint in the hot sun, so just don't walk away and leave the car un-rinsed. Our formulas are ideal for all coatings, finishes, and PPF. Our pressure washing soap is buffered to prevent reactions with any paint, coatings, films, or components on your car. Again, you should never let any soap dry on your paint for too long, especially in the hot sun. So either wash in a cool shady or overcast location, or if you don't have that luxury on wash day, just move quickly. If you are seeing the soap dry, just re-spray it with soap and rinse immediately to avoid having to buff out dried soap stains.
Our wash kit comes with everything you need to detail the exterior of your car. We recommend you check out our interior detailer, InsideJob, to take care of the interior. As well as our ceramic coating, OverShield, to add professional, paint-bonded protection that lasts for hundreds of washes. This will ensure your paint can be cleaned as quickly and safely as possible, because dirt and grime won't stick to your paint the same ever again!
