Detail spray is essentially any spray used to finish the washing process of your paint. In general it cleans and/or shines your paint while providing lubrication. In our case, OneWiper does this faster and better than any detail spray out there, plus it provides a couple weeks of protection, and a shine that you just can't beat with such easy cleaning power and use. Plus it smells amazing.
If you are trying to have a shiny clean finish, absolutely.
No matter how you wash it, your paint will have film, stains, hard water, or cloudiness over time that can't be removed or restored without a towel and a gloss enhancer.
But you should rarely ever touch your car with a towel (even a new one) without a spray that provides lubrication too.

We usually recommend car drying blowers (leaf blowers) over car drying towels. But using this drying and detailing spray in conjunction with a good towel is absolutely necessary regardless of whether you are using a giant drying towel or a blower.
